There has never been a better time to choose Buxton and Leek College.
You could be about to leave school and are looking for your first steps on the road to employment or higher education. Or you may want high quality vocational education and training to support a new career direction or make progress in your current career.
The academic year 2011/12 saw the students of Buxton and Leek College attain the best results in over a decade.
The improvement we have delivered has been progressive and now places the College in the top 25% nationally for our student achievements.
The newly formed Buxton and Leek College came into existence on 1st August 2012 following the merger of Leek College and the University of Derby.
Buxton College had been operating as part of the University of Derby for a number of years and, now that the merger with Leek College has been completed, the combined College has the size and resources to provide a comprehensive, high-quality education and training service to students of all ages and abilities from the communities of Leek and Buxton and the surrounding areas.
Our unique position as part of the University of Derby group means that progression to higher levels of study is easier and more affordable than from many other Colleges.
The options available mean that students can progress onto higher education programmes which are available at our Leek and Buxton campuses as well as at the main University campus in Derby.
As a student of Buxton and Leek College you will have access to industry standard facilities, comprehensive support services and a team of dedicated staff who take pride in supporting you towards your study and career goals.
We are always looking to make improvements and expect to open the next phase of our campus renewal project in Leek this September which will provide new facilities for our Engineering, Construction and Art & Design students.
