- Promote Additional Services or Products to Clients
- Provide Hairdressing Consultation Services
- Creatively Cut Hair Using a Combination of Techniques
- Colour Hair Using a Variety of Techniques
- Creatively Style and Dress Hair
- Creatively Dress Long Hair
- Develop and Enhance Your Creative Hairdressing Skills
- Provide Colour Correction Services.
You may need to pay for specialist materials associated with this course.
What qualifications will I get?
NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing, plus Functional Skills or Key Skills qualifications in Maths and English
What can I go on to next?
If you're already working, this qualification could help you to get a more senior position
in the salon. Alternatively, you could go on to the Foundation Degree in Hairdressing and
Salon Management here at the University of Derby Buxton.

How will I be assessed?
You'll be continually assessed using a variety of methods, including practical observations, question and answer sessions and assignments.

Advanced Apprenticeship: Between 12 and 15 months, depending on your age and ability

You'll need NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing, or equivalent, and relevant Functional Skills qualifications. If you want to take it as an Advanced Apprenticeship, you'll also need a job in a hair salon.
