- You'll be assessed at your workplace, you need to prepare for and attend these assessment visits and any other appointments.
Tell me about the course in general
This excellent training programme is designed to train you in food processing. While you're in college you will take part in
practical skills sessions, portfolio building, theory and IT sessions. You'll also work alongside others as part of a team.
What qualifications will I get?
NVQ Level 2 in Food Processing, plus Functional Skills qualifications and food safety qualifications.
What can I go on to next?
You can go on to the Advanced Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery afterwards.
How will I be assessed?
You'll be assessed while carrying out your work tasks in the College and in the workplace, as well as through your portfolio,
and a question/answer session.
Length
12-15 months, depending on your age and ability.
You'll spend four or five days in work and one day in college.
