  • You'll be assessed at your workplace, you need to prepare for and attend these assessment visits and any other appointments.

Tell me about the course in general

This excellent training programme is designed to train you in food and drink service or front office/reception skills. While you're in college you will take part in practical skills sessions, portfolio building, theory and IT sessions. You'll also work
alongside others as part of a team.

What qualifications will I get?

An NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service or Front Office, plus relevant technical certificates and Functional Skills qualifications.

What can I go on to next?

You will be able to apply for positions in a wide range of businesses, or move on to our Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed throughout your course in different ways, including observation of your skills, practical and written assignments and projects.

Length

  • Full time: Between 12 and 15 months, depending on your age and ability.
  • You'll spend four or five days in work, and one day in college.

What do I need to join the course?

You need to be working in this industry or be prepared to apply for a job. You'll be invited to an informal interview where we'll chat through your options and make sure you're on the right course.
