Trips, events and projects
Yearly pantomime trip
Our students organise a trip to the pantomime at the Buxton Opera House as part of their learning.
They have to work together to ensure they deliver the project successfully by organising themselves and communicating as a team.
This encourages the students to understand and become aware that teaching and childcare careers require specific skills. For eaxmple you'll need to work well with people and communicate clearly. Such projects help to develop the employability skills that you'll need in the future.
Fundraising projects
Our students take part in a variety of activitity days including fancy dress days and baking cakes day in order to raise money for children in need and similar organisations.
This creates an awareness of care and consideration for those who need our care, help and support. The projects enagage a sense of community togetherness which help the students to understand how importnat it is to work together as a team.
Operation Christmas Child
Our students get involved with the charitable organisation 'Operation Christmas Child'. This involves putting gifts in a decorated shoe box for children overseas who live in very poor areas and do not receive anything at christmas time.
This encourages a safe and caring environment in which we study within and allows us to do something memorable for other communities who need our support.
