If you've thought you'd like a career working with children and/or young people, these courses are perfect for you. It's a very varied field to work in with a wide range of job in early years education or social care.

We offer a range of education and childcare courses that can lead to interesting, exciting and rewarding career opportunities. You'll be taught by qualified staff with lots of experience to make sure you'll get the skills you'll need for the job you want. They're friendly and supportive too.

Where you'll study

You'll be based at the amazing Devonshire Campus in Buxton, which has some great facilities:

  • Library and computer suite

  • Bistro and social area
  • On site student shop
  • the Dome Fine Dining Restaurant and training kitchens
  • On site spa, hairdressing and beauty therapy training salons.

You'll gain a nationally recognised qualification to really help you to get a job once youve finished, or it you want to carry on studying you can.

Excellent work experience opportunities

The courses take one year of full time study with opportunities for work experience and work placements. You'll use the things you learn in class in a real working environment. You'll develop practical skills quickly throughout the course and this will prepare you for further study and a career in education.

You'll be able to continue onto various career paths including childcare, teaching and child development.

You'll have the opportunity to go on to study at degree level if you want to.
