Employers want you to have a range of skills and work experience as well as your 'A' levels or a vocational qualification. Any work experience, however short and whatever it involves, shows what you can do. This can include student work placements and summer work experience.
Part time work experience
- For part-time, casual or project-based work experience, our Student Employment Agency will help you find what you need.
- Volunteering can give you the experience employers want.
- Course work placements within the Dome, such as the Salon, Fine Dine Restaurant, the kitchens or the Spa.
Finding work experience
Student work placements can will be found through the School in which you study, usually with help from the College's Placement Office.
If you are doing a course with practical work as part of it you will develop skills and get the invaluable work experience employers need.
